Lesson transcript:
Music Lesson: Exploring the Microcorg and Effects Control
Okay, so what I'm doing here is I'm using this Microcorg.
-
I've augmented it by adding this Launch Control XL to it.
- This addition enables me to access many more parameters within the Microcorg than I would normally be able to get to.
-
I'm also using the Novation Launch Control to activate and control effects that are being applied by the Chaos Pad.
- The Chaos Pad serves as an external effects unit.
All this magic is happening inside a device within Ableton Live that we're going to build during the process of this first part of the course.

Mark Burnett is an Ableton Certified Trainer who has worked with Ableton products for over 14 years. As a producer and DJ on Funk'n Deep Records, his tracks have featured at major festivals and in sets and podcasts from artists including Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin, and he has played to crowds of thousands. He also runs large-scale events such as Workhouse Project, and studied at Imperial College London. His course covers using Ableton Live to build live performances, and it suits electronic producers and performers who want to take a show out of the studio and onto the stage. read more
