Music isn't learned from a textbook.
It's passed down - from the players who lived it, to the ones who want to. We built MusicGurus to put the world's best musicians in a room with you, however far apart you really are.

Two founders, one frustrated playlist.
Tom and Christo met at INSEAD business school. They came from different industries and different countries, but shared the same frustration: learning music online was a mess.
YouTube was an ocean of content where quality was a lottery. Paid sites had production value but lacked soul. Apps gamified the basics but couldn't take you further. Nothing put real, world-class musicians in front of you to show how they actually play, where their style came from, and how they made a career out of it.
In London a few years later they reconnected and decided to build the platform they wished existed - one where artists across every instrument, style and discipline (singing, production, even the business of music) could share what they know and earn from it. MusicGurus was born.
Real musicians, every one of them.
These are the people behind the lessons - career players, bandleaders, session pros, celebrities, educators. Faces, not avatars.
We pay our gurus differently.
Most learning platforms pay teachers a flat per-stream rate. It's simple, it's lazy, and it doesn't reflect the value great teaching creates.
We built our own royalty engine. Every quarter we calculate what each guru earns based on real student engagement - how many lessons watched, how deep the engagement goes, how often students come back for more. The math takes longer, but the result is fairer: gurus get paid in proportion to the impact they're actually making.
It's the kind of thing you only build when the people on stage matter as much as the people in the audience.
Come learn from the players who lived it.
