Exercise: Varying Sticking with Rests
In this next exercise, the rest will move.
- Sometimes it will land on beat three,
- Other times, it will fall on beat one.
To vary my sticking, I will play the first part with double strokes.
- Even if there's a rest,
- I will pretend I played it with the stick I would have used on that beat.
Counting:
1, 2, 3, 4.
