Flexibility Exercise: Challenging Your Technical Ability

Welcome to the next exercise, a flexibility exercise that places a greater challenge on your technical ability.

Revisiting the Five Note Major Scale

In the last level, you were introduced to the concept of pitch accuracy and I introduced you to the five note major scale. We revisit this scale in this exercise, but:

  • It's now done at speed
  • This speed presents more of a challenge to sing it bang in tune.

We will also reintroduce the major triads that you learned in the last level, along with some articulation.

Focus on Articulation

Again, we will cover:

  • The tip of the tongue
  • The teeth
  • The lips

This time, we'll use the phrase "mini, mini, mini, mini, mini" to help define the fast five note scale.

Transitioning to Vowel Sounds

After we practice with articulation, we will remove that help and you will be left with just the vowel version at the end.

Demonstration

I'm going to demonstrate all of this for you so it makes sense. You will also be reintroduced to the vowels in the original alphabetical order of:

  • A
  • I
  • O
  • U

Let me demonstrate it for you:

Triads.
Mini, mini, mini, mini.
Articulated unarticulated triad.
Many scape easy.
