Adding Two Consecutive Quarter Note Rests
Okay, and now we're going to look at adding two consecutive quarter note rests.
Key Points:
- This won't happen in every bar; it's specific to bars three and four.
- There are two quarter note rests in a row for variety, so you're not getting bored at home.
Sticking Choices:
- For this section, I will choose to play the paradiddle sticking.
- Alternative Sticking Options:
- Single strokes
- Double strokes
- You can choose whichever you want!
Imagination plays a key role here. I'm imagining keeping the paradiddle playing even when there’s a rest. I’ll maintain the sticking pattern in my mind, and I’ll also play it with the specified hand.
