Music Lesson: Adjusting Tempos
Okay. So with these exercises, there are slightly different tempos. We need to adjust from 85 beats per minute to 90.
It's a really small difference, but it will affect the way it feels to play these. Just me personally. You can take this recommendation if you want; you could do different things.
Playing Technique
- I'll choose to play all the hi-hats with the right hand.
- The bass drums, of course, always with the right foot. We know that.
- If there are three snares in a row, I'm going to alternate: right, left, right.
This is what I would do if it was a drum fill in a piece.
