Exercise: Quick Transitions Between Drum Voices
The next exercise is at the same tempo, but we're going to move a little bit more quickly between those drum voices.
- If there are two quarter note rests, remember to keep counting to give yourself the best chance of coming in on beat one of the next bar.
- I know the metronome helps, and the backing track helps, but we can help ourselves even more by counting.
Count along:
One, two, three.
