Example Two: Double Strokes

So now we're going to go on to example two, which is double strokes. This consists of two strokes with each hand.

  • I’m sticking to the right hand lead for most of you.
  • If you are left-handed, feel free to start with the left hand.

I'm going to play as written:
Right, right, left, left.

I will do that for four bars, and then I will hand it over to you. You can practice it at home, and then I'll do another four bars, and then you can try it again.

So, okay, let’s go:
1, 2, 3, 4.

Great! I hope you enjoyed that. I had some fun playing it.

Example Three: The Famous Paradiddle

Now, we’re going to go on to example three, the famous paradiddle.
