Music Lesson: Somebody Changed the Lock on My Door
Welcome back, guys!
Today, we're going to look at Somebody Changed the Lock on My Door. This is a song that Dr. John did something beautiful with on his Gumbo album.
Lesson Overview
- I won't play you Dr. John's version specifically, but there will be lots of Dr. John ideas in it.
- This lesson aims to demonstrate a slightly different style of New Orleans piano playing, a kind of New Orleans version of stride.

About the instructor
Paddy Milner is recognised as one of the leading blues piano players in the world - he is currently keyboard player of choice for Sir Tom Jones, following several years with the late, great Jack Bruce - but he is also a superb original songwriter and a distinctive singer.
