Lesson transcript:

Chewing and Humming Exercise

In this exercise, what we're going to do is chew and hum at the same time. This is going to help create independent processes of the vocal cords and the jaw muscles.

Benefits of the Exercise

  • Relaxation: It helps to relax the jaw muscles so that they don't feel too tense.
  • Deeper Relaxation: As we're going through this, you may find a deeper sense of relaxation in this exercise than you normally would in a regular hum.

Instructions

Let's begin again. With this exercise, we're not worried about being on pitch.

Your main focus is release.

Sa amazing!
