Introduction
Hi, my name is Rebecca Lammers. I am the CEO and co-founder of Leica Network. Leica Network is a YouTube company that helps artists make money and get discovered on YouTube.
Key Focus Areas
When we first start working with an artist and their YouTube channel, we concentrate on three main areas:
1. Branding
- Banner and Icon: Is the banner and the icon image inviting?
- Think of your YouTube channel as a place where people go to discover what the artist is doing, what they're up to, and who they are.
- It's one of the few areas where fans can actually see what an artist is all about.
- Your aim should be to showcase that and make it as great as possible so people want to engage more with you.
2. Thumbnails
- From the visual aspect, we focus on the thumbnails of the videos.
- The thumbnail is the still image that appears in search results.
- We work together to determine how best to create a thumbnail that represents the video effectively.
- A good thumbnail should not only incentivize people to click on the video but also explain the content in one small image.
3. Content Strategy
- Many people feel overwhelmed by the need to upload video content regularly.
- However, it doesn't always have to be an official music video.
- It can be:
- A still image video for a released track
- A vlog
- A live performance video
- It can be:
- There are numerous kinds of video content that can be easily produced.
- With most people owning a mobile phone with a camera, it's really easy to capture video footage and upload it to YouTube.
- It's important to note that the main focus should be on the quality of the talent rather than the video or audio quality.
"Everybody starts out from zero at some point. Just get something up there so people can see who you are. Otherwise, how are people supposed to know?"
About the instructor

The Closest Thing to Crazy'.
