About Me

• I wrote some of the rock score syllabus.
• Some of the pieces you might be learning are my compositions.
• I've been a contributor to the guitar magazines Total Guitar and Guitar Techniques for many years, since the time of the dinosaurs, it seems!

What We'll Cover

In this lesson, I will:

• Play through the metal pieces from grades two to eight.
• Break down each piece.
• Show you some tips on how to approach learning the songs.

Techniques to Focus On

We'll look at:

• Improving your playing
• Improvisation
• Technical skills, such as:
  • Left and right hand coordination
  • Alternate picking
  • Fretting
