Understanding Male Singers

So far, the main points that we've covered have been really general ideas that apply to both males and females. However, this part will specifically address male singers.

Chest Voice vs. Head Voice

  • Unique Voice Composition: Men generally have 2/3 chest voice and 1/3 head voice.
  • Vast Majority: The vast majority of our range is made up of chest voice, with head voice playing a smaller role.

Importance of Head Voice

With this in mind, it's crucial to work on your head voice as a man:

  • Limited Use: Most people don't often utilize their head voice in daily conversation.
  • Daily Speaking Pattern: Since most of the day is spent speaking in a chest voice, this can make it challenging for male singers to strengthen their head voice.

Course Unique Features

The other thing that will make this course unique is:

  • Targeted Exercises: The exercises and scales in this course will be specifically directed toward males within the male range.
