About this course

Rockschool Piano Debut is the pre-Grade-1 syllabus, taught by a team of working pianists. You'll learn the six set pieces, get to grips with reading the staff, scales and arpeggios, and try your first improvising over contemporary chord progressions and a 12-bar blues.

Every performance and demonstration runs in the MusicGurus video player, so you can slow it down and loop the tricky bars until they're under your fingers.

The pieces are from the 2017-19 syllabus and can still be played as free-choice pieces in RSL exams.
