Broken Chords

These are very similar to arpeggios, and what we're doing is playing the 1, 3, and 5 of the chord in a broken format.

Fingering Guidelines

• The fingering here is less important to be as precise as the scales.
• However, a good rule of thumb is:
  • Left Hand: Use the fifth, third, and first fingers.
  • Right Hand: Use the first, third, and fifth fingers.

This way, you'll develop good practice when you're moving on to more difficult keys that involve lots of sharps and flats.
