Lesson transcript:
Music Lesson: The OO Vowel
The final vowel we're going to deal with today is the OO vowel.
Overview of the OO Vowel
The OO vowel, again, is going to migrate towards an "uh" sound.
- Challenges:
- U and E vowels are the hardest vowels for singers
- This is particularly evident for those singing in their bridge and above.
This challenge mainly arises because many singers don't make enough space in their mouth for the sound to resonate properly. Our goal today is to work through that and ensure that we're not falling into the same pattern.
Pronunciation of the OO Vowel
The OO vowels sound like this:
- O, O
When pronounced slowly, you can hear it migrating minutely towards the vowel.
