I thought I'd tell you about the guitar I'm using:
- Model: Gibson Les Paul
- Type: Classic rock guitar
You'll see iconic musicians like:

Why the Gibson Les Paul?
The reason for the popularity of this guitar is its long sustain.
Sustain refers to the length of the note.
- On some guitars, the note can die out quite quickly.
- However, on this guitar, it seems to last for a long, long time.
When you add distortion, this note will ring out for ages, making your solos:
- Really interesting
- Cool
- Full of character
Important Notes for Beginners
To play this rock style, keep in mind:
- It's not often that beginner guitarists have this type of guitar.
- I certainly wouldn't recommend going out and buying one for a good few years.
So, don't worry if you don't have it yet.
Final Thoughts
I'm sure the guitar you've got is great. It's all about:
- Getting these techniques down
- Starting to play guitar
Focus on your skills rather than jumping into big and expensive gear.

Tommy Webb es un guitarrista afincado en Londres que completó una licenciatura con honores (BA Hons) en guitarra en la Academy of Contemporary Music de Guildford, estudiando con Sandy Beales (One Direction, Wheatus) y Nicolas Meier (Jeff Beck).
