Lesson transcript

Music Lesson: Exploring G Major and Bass Clef

Now let's try some examples.

G Major Examples

  1. First Example
I'll have you try to play first, and then I'll show you the correct answer.
Did you remember to play the sharp?
You should have played it like this.

  2. Second Example
    Let's try another example.
    Try this one.
Did you remember the sharp this time?
    It should sound like this.

Bass Clef Examples

  1. First Bass Clef Example
This is a bass clef example, so be careful because it's going to change where the F is on the stave.
    Have a go.
Did you find the F sharp?
    It should sound like this.

  2. Second Bass Clef Example
    Let's try one more.
    Another bass clef example.
Give it a try, and here's the correct answer.
You probably noticed that even though there's an F in the key signature, there were no Fs in this example, so there were no F sharps to play.

Good job! Let's keep going.
