About this course

Rockschool Limited is the UK's leading awarding body for popular music exams. This course follows the Rockschool syllabus and pieces.

This is Part 3 of the Rockschool Piano Method Pt 2, completing the beginner sequence. You'll learn key signatures and ledger lines, play chords and broken chords as accompaniment patterns, read additional time signatures including triplets, work on new scales, and play through actual Rockschool Grade 1 pieces.

By the end of this volume you'll be ready to sit (or skip past) Rockschool Grade 1, with key signature reading, chord-based accompaniment and the rhythmic vocabulary needed for the full graded syllabus.

Talia Girton

Talia Girton is a musician and HCPC-registered music therapist, and the founder of The Cycling Music Teachers. Her work brings together music therapy, counselling and education, and she tutors internationally on the music therapy training course at UDELAS in Panama as well as contributing to professional development with the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA). On MusicGurus she teaches the Piano Method and Piano Foundations courses, guiding complete beginners from first steps through rhythm, both hands, theory and performance.
