Music Lesson: Ultrabeat and Drum Machine Designer
Okay, so we've looked at Ultrabeat. We've looked at the virtual drummer and seen all the possibilities in both.
Ultrabeat Overview
Ultrabeat is something I use quite a lot within projects that I work with. I use a sequencer, the step sequencer, to modulate sound sources.
As we've covered in the course, you've seen how that's done. It really gives movement; it creates modulation and movement within a track and takes away from the static nature of electronic beats. It gives it a bit more life.
Today's Challenge
The challenge for today is to:
- Create and sketch out an arrangement using the Drum Machine Designer.
- Add some multi outputs.
- Use it as a multi-output instrument.
So, ensure you have all your auxes and all your sound sources controllable via the auxes.
Get Creative!
Yeah, get crazy with it!
