Lesson transcript:
So before we begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself as the instructor of this course.
I began singing in about 2005. I started in a local rock band, and my bandmates actually suggested that I should probably go and take lessons because, at that point, I was really, really bad at singing.
I had a drive and a passion for it, but I just didn't have the skills necessary to sing well. I began singing lessons as probably many of you have or have thought of going to a local music school and taking one-on-one lessons with a teacher there.
Unfortunately, it actually ended up being a massive waste of time. While she was a beautiful singer, she just couldn't convey how I could sing better.
She actually ended up reinforcing a lot of misconceptions, such as:
These beliefs held me back a lot in my progress.
Despite these setbacks, I was determined to learn how to sing, extend my range, and get better at what I knew could potentially become something great.

Now, I want to distill that 13-14 years of experience into a very clear program that I don't think has ever really been created before.
What makes this program unique is that it:
Now that you know a little bit about myself, let's jump into the main course material.

Adam Mishan is a vocal coach who taught himself to sing. His videos document the journey from not being able to hold a pitch to singing with real control, and that path now shapes how he teaches - over 200,000 people follow along on YouTube. In his courses you'll work on pitch, breath support, tone and range in small, repeatable steps, the same way he built his own voice. read more
