Ending Analysis of "A Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On"
So, briefly, let's look at the ending. He actually kind of moves away from the form a little bit here and adds an extra bar.
- Structure:
- Two bars on the G
- One bar of the F
So I guess the ending is a kind of variation on that classic rhythm and blues thing. But he's essentially rhythmically just suggesting it and cutting off with a kind of ending.
There is a little melody in there, which I can't work out if it's played on the guitar or the piano in the recording. But you can hear that as a sort of ending to the song.
