Next Exercise: Rhythm and Melody
Let's have a look at this next exercise.
Step 1: Snap the Rhythm
First, we'll snap the rhythm, and then we'll add the melody.
- Count the rhythm:
One and two and three and four.
And one and two and three and four.
And one and two and three and four dot and one and two and three and four.
And one and two and three, and four.
You might have noticed that the rhythm is almost exactly the same as the previous example, except for that last bar.
Step 2: Add the Melody
Let's give it a try with the pitches.

Instrument:
Now, we're going to be in the bass clef, our left hand.
I would recommend starting with your five finger on the C. -
Play the melody:
1 and 2 and 3 and 4.
And 1 and 2 and 3 and 4.
And 1 and 2 and.
And 3 and 4.
And 1 and two and three and four.
And 1 and 2 and 3, and 4.
Step 3: Try with the Backing Track
