Welcome to the Course
Hi, I'm Kieran and welcome to the course. This will be broken down into three sections, each with:
- A number of videos
- A challenge to complete at the end
Purpose of the Challenges
This is an opportunity for you to:
- Put into practice everything that's been covered
- Receive feedback on your work
You'll upload the assignments to Music Gurus, and I will mark them and get back to you, letting you know:
- What you did well
- What needs improvement
Overview of the Challenges
- First Challenge: A simple recording
- Second Challenge: An editing and comping exercise
- Third Challenge: A mix
For the third challenge, I will provide you with a Pro Tools session, and you will mix this to the best of your abilities, trying out everything that I've shown you over the three sessions.

Ciarán Robinson ist ein Toningenieur mit über 25 Jahren Erfahrung in Live-Technik, Mixing, Recording, Studiodesign und Sound für Film, Fernsehen und Games. Derzeit leitet er den Music-Producer-Master an der Tileyard Education in London und hat an Instituten für zeitgenössische Musik wie BIMM, SSR und SAE unterrichtet.
Seit mehr als 20 Jahren lehrt er Audioproduktion und hat Kurse zu Pro Tools, Game-Audio, Studiotechnik und Postproduktion aufgebaut; einige seiner ehemaligen Studierenden arbeiten inzwischen mit Acts wie Coldplay und Biffy Clyro.
