Rockschool Piano Grade 6 is where contemporary harmony becomes something you shape rather than just read. Across six set pieces - from Diana Krall's "Peel Me A Grape" and Bruce Hornsby's "The Way It Is" to "Defying Gravity" from Wicked - pro pianists Paddy Milner, James Beckwith, Andrew Johnson and Ross Stanley each perform a piece and then break down the phrasing, voicings and feel behind it.
You also get focused work on Grade 6 scales and arpeggios, chord voicings, sight-reading with the "KAT TRAP" method, and advanced blues improvisation. Loop and slow down any performance in the MusicGurus player so you can work out the tricky passages at your own pace.
Please note - the pieces in this course are from the 2017-19 exam syllabus. However, they can still be performed as 'free choice' pieces in RSL exams.
