Thank you so much for getting this course, for spending this time with me, and congratulations on getting this far! I hope that this has been helpful and that before you know it, you'll be playing along to my songs, and hopefully many others. Maybe even creating your own!
Tips for Success
If you get stuck with anything:
- You can loop a section.
- There's a handy chord chart if you need a reminder on how to play a chord.
It took me 20 years to get where I'm at, and I still have a long way to go. So just remember that:
- Practice muscle memory.
- Get your calluses going.
- Remember that it's supposed to be enjoyable.
Feel the emotion of the music, don't get discouraged, and just stick with it. Hopefully, you're going to be rocking out in no time!

About the instructor
Lissie is a folk-rocker who grew up in Rock Island, Illinois, near the Mississippi River, speaking her mind and writing songs from an early age. Fans first fell in love with her voice on the five-song EP 'Why You Runnin'', produced by Bill Reynolds of Band of Horses, which Paste Magazine ranked among its Eight Most Auspicious Musical Debuts. In 2010, her first full-length album 'Catching A Tiger' unassumingly established Lissie as a global voice. Stateside praise was matched in the UK with acclaim from the BBC, Evening Standard, Uncut and The Independent, who described it as "as refreshing a slice of pop as these jaded ears have heard in years." The album went on to sell 300,000 copies worldwide - 100,000 of them in the UK, where it was certified Gold.
