Understanding the Grid in Editing
Now, another important thing is our grid that we're seeing for our editing.
Zooming In and Out

If I zoom in, you'll notice that:
- The more I zoom in, the more granular my grid becomes.
- I see a line there, another line there, and so on.

If I zoom out:
- The lines are much smaller.
- This is because I have adaptive grid on.
Grid Options
If I right-click, I have all these different options:

Adaptive Grid:
- This changes comparatively to how zoomed in or out I am.

Fixed Grid:
- If I am doing something specifically on, let's say, 30-second notes, I will always see 30-second notes no matter how zoomed in I am.
- One of those segments is 32nd notes.
- I can also choose 16 or 8, so one of those is an eighth note, and so on.
Personal Preference
I personally prefer adaptive narrow.
- I love the fact that when I zoom in, it automatically narrows the scope of what I'm looking at.
Conclusion
The grid is really important when you start editing things and knowing how the timing of these different clips and samples are.
