Lesson transcript:

Drum Recording Session

All right, so we're ready to record some drums.

Check Levels

Now we're going to check if all the levels are all right.

  • We sound check individual drums with Chris.
  • And now we're going to try and record a little bit with me playing.

Potential Issues

There will probably be a few issues because I'm playing differently.

  • I probably play louder, so there might be a little bit of tweaking here and there.

Let's give it a go and see what happens.

Recording

And I'm going to press record here.

Here we go!

So we got some material we can work with.

I kind of try to give it full volume as I would play on the track, so we are in the right dynamic range.

Let's have a look and see if there are any problems.
