Understanding Looping in Session and Arrangement View
Now, another important thing is looping.
Looping in Session View
In session view, it's very easy to loop something. All these clips are already set as loops.
- If I press play, it's just going to play those loops.
- For a shorter example, you can see that when it's playing, it will go around and just start looping it over and over.
Looping in Arrangement View
In arrangement view, we are going from the beginning to the end. So, looping isn't as straightforward. However, we have a feature called the loop brace.
- I can move the loop brace anywhere I want.
- For example, let's say I move it here. Once I do that, I can right-click and then set loop. Now, it will keep looping this section of my arrangement.
Controlling the Loop
You'll also notice that I have some buttons that will control my looping:
- If I move the loop brace, you can see my time changes accordingly.
- I can also just move the time display.
- Additionally, there's a button to turn the loop on and off. When it's off, it will just continue playing.
