Call and Response: A Music Lesson

Let's have a look at the first example of call and response.

1. Snap First:

   • I'll snap first.

2. Adding in the Pitches:

   • We'll add in the pitches:
     • 1 and 2 and 3 and 4,
     • and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4,
     • and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4,
     • and 1 and 2 and 3 & 4,
     • and 1 and 2 & 3 and 4.

Introducing the Pitches

Now let's see what that looks like with the pitches:

• Right Hand:

  • Start in the treble clef.

• Left Hand:

  • Prepare your left hand in the bass clef.

Counting the Beats

Let's practice counting:

• One and two and three and four.
• And one and two and three and four.
• And one and two and three and four.
• Dot and one and two and three and four.
• And one and two and three and four.
