Hi, I'm Stuart Ryan, a guitarist and composer from the UK. I'm here to guide you through pieces in the blues and rock genres, from debut level up to grade eight.

About Me

• I've been playing guitar for nearly 30 years.
• For the last 15 years, I have worked as a professional guitarist.
• My experience includes:

Writing Contributions

For about 15 years, I have been writing acoustic guitar columns for various magazines, including:

• Guitar Techniques
• Guitarist
• Acoustic Magazine
• Acoustic Guitar (Germany)

I have also contributed to numerous other publications worldwide.

Composition and Clinics

As a composer for television:

• I write music for various programs and music libraries.

I am also active as a clinician for the Takamine Guitar Company, traveling to:

• Play their guitars
• Hold performance clinics when not on the road or in the studio

Teaching Passion

I teach at the Bristol Institute of Modern Music (BIM), which is a passion of mine that I've pursued for a long time.

Rock School Legacy

Importantly, I recorded many of the guitar parts on the original Rock School syllabus years ago. It's a pleasure to reconnect with these pieces and break down the guitar parts for you, helping you understand how they work in detail.
