Lesson transcript

Guitar Lesson

Introduction:

Short tar intro here.
And your first note is here.

Double Time Practice:

We're going to try this double time to start with three and four.
Whoa, yeah, oh, yeah.
Again with me. Lisa, do you want to join? You're doing great.
One more time, here we go.
Brilliant. Brilliant. Great.

New Challenge:

So now I think it's about time that we made it a little harder.
If you feel ready, we're going to double time this. I'll show you how to do it.

Three and...
Whoa, yeah, oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
With me.
Whoa, yeah. Whoa, yeah. Oh, yeah.

How did you go?
It's hard, but it's good.
Start slow and you'll get there.

E Flat Minor:

Great. So I hope you're ready for a new challenge.
We're going to take that up a semitone and so again, we'll start half time and then we'll move into the full tempo.

We are now in E flat minor.
Let's play the track.
Here's our guitar intro.
Your first note is a B flat, half time.

Here we go.
One, two, three and...
Whoa, yeah.

Join us, Alicia.
Here we go. Great.
Here we go. Breathe.

And whoa.
One more at half time.
Here we go.
Whoa, yeah. Great.
Well done.

Conclusion:

So that's the notes in E flat minor.
Now we are going to move to the double time section.
Here we go. Hope you're ready.

Two, three and...
Whoa. Whoa.
Great job, so well done.

You did a very, very difficult lick today and you broke it down into sections.
Hopefully, you surprised yourself knowing that actually, if you break it down and take it slowly and carefully, and hopefully meticulously, you need to be precise.
You can really access some of these more difficult scales in the licks that you want to try.

I love the Dorian scale, and hopefully, you enjoyed it too.
Try and put it in an A minor song at some point soon.
