Chord Voicings for Group D
Today, we're going to learn a couple of chord voicings for Group D.
Minor Seven Flat Five Chord
The first voicing is the minor seven flat five chord.
- Root Note: E string
- Voicing: B7, B3, flat 5
Now, let's take a look at playing it on the A string.
E Minor 7 Flat 5
For E minor 7 flat 5, we can go to several places. The common shape we'll use is the following:
- Root Note: B
- Voicing: V flat seven, flat three
Diminished Seventh Chord
Next, we have the diminished seventh chord.
- The voicing given is C diminished seven, and it sounds like this:
In this instance, we have:
- Root Note
- Flattened Fifth
- Diminished Seventh
- Flattened Third
Diminished Seventh on E String
Finally, let's take a look at this chord with its root note on the E string.
