Introduction
Hi, I'm Stuart Ryan, a guitarist and composer from the UK. I'm here to guide you through pieces in the blues and rock genres, from debut all the way up to grade eight.
About Me

I've been playing guitar for nearly 30 years and have worked as a professional guitarist for the last 15 years. - Roles:

Writing Contributions
For over 15 years, I've contributed to guitar publications, writing acoustic guitar columns for:
- Guitar Techniques
- Guitarist Magazine
- Acoustic Magazine
- Acoustic Guitar (Germany)
I've also written for various publications worldwide.
Composing and Teaching
As a composer, I create music for:
- TV programs
- Music libraries
I'm also active as a clinician for the Takamine Guitar Company, traveling to play their guitars and hold performance clinics.
Teaching Passion
I teach at the Bristol Institute of Modern Music (BIM), and teaching is a passion of mine. I've been involved in education for a long time.
Special Connection to Rock School
Most importantly, I recorded many of the guitar parts on the original Rock School syllabus all those years ago. It's a real pleasure for me to revisit these pieces and break down the guitar parts to help you understand how they work.
