Power Chords Exercise

Okay, so moving on now to group B. We're going to begin with the power chords exercise.

Key Points:

• Be aware not to hit too many strings with your right hand.
• We are looking to hit only two strings.
• If you want to hit more strings, that's fine, but make sure you're muting with your left hand.
• We don't want to hear any open strings on top, as that will ruin the sound of our power chord.

Rhythm:

We're going to play this with the rhythm shown in the book here:
1, 2, 3, 4.

Major Chords

Looking at part two of group B, we've got a selection of major chords. Here is how each of them sounds:

1. A Major
2. D Major
3. E Major
4. C Major
5. G Major

Minor Chords

Group three is the minor chords. We've only got three of these. Here they are:

1. A Minor
2. D Minor
3. E Minor
