The Essence of Singing

Singing, for me, isn't just about making a living. It's not just another job; it's an opportunity to explore my emotions and my instrument. It allows me to:

  • Create emotions for others
  • Share feelings
  • Instill memories

Imagine this: a song might remind someone of a celebration from ten years ago, their wedding day, the birth of a child, or even the loss of a parent or friend. These memories are a connection of emotions.

More Than Just Performance

What singing means to me goes beyond simply delivering a song. It's not about:

  • Standing on stage
  • Strutting your stuff
  • Wearing a fancy costume
  • Blinding bright lights

It's about connecting with people.

Communication through Music

The biggest word here is communication.

  • Communication through a melodic tune
  • Communication through a melodic structure that stimulates emotions and memories.

To have the gift of doing this is priceless. We all possess this ability, even if you're not a singer. It's reflected in:

  • The way we speak
  • The delivery of a story
  • Reading to a child before bed
  • Conversations with loved ones

That's what singing is about: communication, stimulation of emotions, and evoking memories.

The Power of Emotions

Singing can make someone feel happy, even if the song is sad. It serves as a release, a means to cope with troubles and celebrate life.

I'm a big believer in this. Whenever I feel miserable, I allow myself to wallow in that misery. I put on a sad song and pour my heart out, releasing everything. Then, I switch to a happy tune and dance around in my underpants.

Music as Therapy

You must see the beauty of music:

  • Music is therapy.
  • Music is emotion.
  • Music has the power to heal.

It can change people's worlds and lives.

The ability to produce music is magical for me. It's a gift I'm so grateful for, and I never want to stop doing it.
