Daniel Santiago is a Brazilian composer, guitarist, and music producer whose 20-year career has made a lasting impact on Brazilian and global music. Deeply rooted in Brazilian traditions, Santiago's sound is also influenced by 1970s and 80s English rock and modern jazz. Known for his unique sonic language and emotional depth, his music has been praised by icons like Guinga as “nostalgic and futuristic.” Santiago has collaborated with renowned artists such as Eric Clapton, Milton Nascimento, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Joshua Redman. He has released three solo albums and over ten with Hamilton de Holanda, earning multiple Latin Grammy nominations. Santiago's duo with Pedro Martins, formed in 2015, gained international acclaim and was featured at Eric Clapton's 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festival. Daniel recently opened yet another chapter with his first Heartcore Records release “Song For Tomorrow”, produced by himself together with Kurt Rosenwinkel and Pedro Martins. As an educator, Daniel breaks down the rhythms at the heart of Brazilian guitar - bossa nova, samba and baiao - showing you exactly how to lock the thumb-driven groove, voice rich harmony, and play with the swing and feel that make this music come alive. read more
