Play modern rock and pop on piano or keyboard with power, groove, and real stylistic control. Discovering Rock Piano 2 by Jürgen Moser builds on Volume 1 and goes deeper into stylistic discrimination (blues piano, jazzy playing, Latin influence) while extending technique with changing chords, figurations, licks, and focused solo studies.

You will work through roots-to-modern styles (from boogie and blues through R&B, shuffles, ballads, funk rock, reggae, and experimental rock), then move into creative keyboard playing: chord chains, rhythmic variants, and building keyboard parts that work in a band or as a complete solo performance.

Jürgen Moser

Jürgen Moser (born 1949 in Duisburg, Germany) is a pianist, composer and music educator whose Rock Piano method has taught rock and pop keyboard playing to students worldwide since its first publication in 1982. Translated into English, Dutch and Chinese and followed by the Discovering Rock Piano series, his books combine performing experience with bands including Fats and His Cats and WHEAP with decades of workshop teaching. His Rock'n'Roll Piano workbook won the German Music Publishers Association's Best Edition award in 2004.
