Left Hand Shuffle and Combining Techniques
Let's do the whole thing now with a proper left hand shuffle.
Once you've mastered ninth blues like that, don't be afraid to add some stuff of your own, either with the Barrel House.
Combining Techniques
With the left hand shuffle, for instance, you could play the right hand you learned in the previous lesson in slow guitar blues with Barrel House. And don't forget this one as well.
Or you could do the whole thing with the shuffle. In other words, we're combining those two pieces.
If you like stealing the best bits from each and putting them together, you can add any number of other right hand ideas from other pieces that you've learned. Even if they're not in the same key, don't be afraid to transpose them.
Expanding Your Options
The more you start mixing and matching things from one piece to another and learning riffs and ideas in different keys, the more options that's going to give you, and the longer your pieces can get.
Because you don't want to end up just playing 12 bars or 24 bars. You want to end up being able to keep going for several minutes. That's the plan.
