Lang Lang

Lang Lang ist ein chinesischer Konzertpianist, geboren 1982 in Shenyang, und gilt als einer der gefeiertsten Musiker seiner Generation. Er studierte am Zentralen Musikkonservatorium in Peking und am Curtis Institute in Philadelphia bei Gary Graffman und wurde mit siebzehn Jahren nach einem kurzfristigen Debüt bei der 'Gala des Jahrhunderts' mit dem Chicago Symphony Orchestra zur internationalen Sensation. Als erster chinesischer Pianist trat er mit den Berliner und Wiener Philharmonikern auf; er ist Steinway-Künstler, Grammy-Nominierter, Mitglied der TIME 100 und Gründer der Lang Lang International Music Foundation, die sich weltweit für die musikalische Ausbildung junger Pianisten einsetzt.
