Getting Started

• Grade Book: If you haven't got one already, you'll want to get hold of a Rock School grade book.
  • There's a lot you can pick up from this course without a grade book, but it will be a lot more effective if you do have one.

Course Structure

• Pieces and Technique: This course starts with the pieces and then moves on to material that builds your technical ability.
  • But there's loads of other information on all sorts of topics such as:
    • Coordination
    • Timekeeping
    • Vocabulary
    • Phrasing
    • Soloing

Tons of stuff!

Expert Performances

The pieces are performed by a drummer who is a specialist in that style.

• They will follow up their performance by giving their professional perspective on the piece.
  • This will include tips on how to really play the style authentically.

Technical Exercises

After the pieces, we get into technical exercises, which are the building blocks of any drummer's technique.
