Anniversary gifts
For the person you've spent years listening to.
After enough anniversaries the easy gifts are used up. This is the one for the partner who plays — really plays — and would give an evening a week to a masterclass with András Schiff or Maxim Vengerov if someone put it in front of them. A MusicGurus gift membership does exactly that, with your note above the redeem button.
Why this gift
Why it's a good anniversary present
Long-standing players are the hardest people to buy for, because they already own the instrument, the music and the opinions. What they don't have is time in the room with a great interpreter. The masterclasses on MusicGurus are that room — a concert violinist working through the Mendelssohn with a student, bar by bar — and they're the kind of thing a serious musician quietly wants and never buys themselves.
It also works as a gift to the two of you. A year of lessons is a year of hearing something new through the wall, and of being told about it over dinner. If they've ever said "I'd love to go back to the Moonlight properly", this is the year they do.
Set your anniversary as the delivery date and the email arrives that morning, with your message on top — ahead of the flowers. Or send it now and read them the note yourself.
Where they could start
Six masterclasses to grow into
Beethoven, Bach, Mendelssohn, Mozart and Rachmaninov, taught by the people who have recorded them — the deep end of the library, for the player who's ready.

A few of the 5,000+ lessons a gift membership opens — every course, guru and songbook is included, not just these.

Fragen
Anniversary questions
Are the masterclasses too advanced for an amateur?
They assume you can already play, not that you're a professional. An intermediate pianist gets a great deal from watching a master work with a student on a piece they know — and the rest of the library covers the foundations if they want them.
Can I give a longer gift for a bigger anniversary?
Twelve months is the longest single gift, and it costs less per month than the shorter ones. For a milestone year, mention the second year in your note and buy it again when the first one ends — nothing renews on its own.
What if we want to learn something together?
Buy two gifts to two email addresses, or gift one and subscribe yourself. Each membership is personal, so you both keep your own progress, but you can sit at the same piano and watch the same lesson.
Does the gift expire if they don't redeem it straight away?
They have two years to redeem it from delivery, and their months only start counting from the day they do — so a gift redeemed after the holiday still runs its full length.
The general questions — refunds, redeeming, what happens if they already subscribe — are answered on the main gifting page
