Richard Hawking has gained recognition on the alt-metal scene as the powerhouse drummer at the heart of Hacktivist, the genre-bending rap-metal band formed in Milton Keynes. With Hacktivist, Richard has played regularly to crowds of tens of thousands at all the major festivals in Europe and beyond, including Glastonbury, Download and Somnisphere. The band has supported Korn and Enter Shikari, and recorded a live session for BBC Radio 1 at Maida Vale Studios.
