Andrew James Johnson

Classical, Neo-Classical

Andrew James Johnson is a composer and pianist who grew up in Birmingham, England and despite having no formal training on the piano in his childhood, showed a precocious fascination with classical music from an early age. He completed a BA in composition in 2006 at the London College of Music receiving a double first in both Music Technology and Composition. His compositional style combines rich harmonic language with expansive pianistic techniques, revealing the influence of the Romantic-era composers that so inspired him in his youth.

Andrew was recently invited to perform a selection of his compositions live on Classic FM's streaming platfofrms, one of UK's largest Classicla Music radio stations, for their annual charity event Make Some Noise.
